This is made of plastic, and if you rub it with ANYthing, even a microfiber cloth, it will leave fine scratches on it. It then looks like your looking into a fogged up lens, which is exactly what you are trying to prevent. So, basically, it is a $21.00 throwaway part. I would gladly pay more for a glass part that I can put a defog solution on and be able to wipe with a microfiber cloth.
