Lock this thing down and it's a game changer for mag changes. For some AKs, the factory mag release lever is long enough to get your thumb behind and pop a mag out. But for some makes (PAPs), that lever is too stubby. The CAA release makes mag changes easy, fast and keeps your eyes downrange while still using the lever technique. I don't have foot long fingers to push the button with my index finger, so I'll stick to traditional mag changes with my off hand.

Great product all around. Fits my Polish AK perfectly. Follow the instructions and installation is a cinch (except for the recoil spring replacement). Adjustment is very easy and once finished, it's rock solid and stays zeroed.

First, let me say that I really like this rail. The bottom section provides much needed rail space to the platform with plenty of mlok sections at the 3,6 and 9 positions. The angled cuts at the front of the rail are a nice touch when you consider most AKs use a detent pin to remove the flash hider. The angled cuts allow for better access and easier turning of the flash hider with your fingers. Once installed, the rail is very solid, slim and lightweight. Now, while the bottom section is easy to install and adjust for fitment, the top rail section is a bear. I have yet to get the top section to fit right. The issue is not that it won't fit the gas tube (it does), but it requires a lot of filing to get it even close to the point at which you can lock the gas tube into position. Yep, it could be my brand of AK, but dang... I've got a lot more filing away of contact areas to go.
