Great Product

Written on Mar 24, 2019

I was very pleased with this mount. It has solid construction and did not require lapping. It is reasonably priced and I would definitely use it again in the future. It had a great fit on my Ar-10 rail system. The mount held the scope reticle about 2.5 inches over the bore. The scope had a 44 mm objective lens.

Great Trigger And Easy To Install

Written on Mar 18, 2019

This is a great trigger for an AR-10 platform. The trigger breaks clean with little to no over travel. It fits nice with little to no movement after installation. It is a good pull weight for this platform and is compatible with Aero Precision lowers. It has a solid reset and I would highly recommend it for someone building or upgrading an AR.

Do Your Research

This scope has potential. The Dev-l reticle is great and not too busy. The illumination is good. The glass is not as good as the Vortex Viper, but nothing to snear at. My experience started off pretty bad. I got the scope from Optics Planet after it was marked as “Recieved Damaged” by the USPS. The box had been completely ripped open, but I thought I would give it a shot because the Sig Sauer box inside did not seem damaged. Got the scope mounted. The battery cap for the illuminated reticle had thread issues and was difficult to get on. The top turret slips because the detent for the zero-stop is set too low. The scope is not tracking and every small adjustment of the scope results translated to odd point of impact shifts. Yes... before someone comments. The screws were properly torqued and it was mounted on a proven match grade rifle. Sig Sauer has great firearms, I don’t know if scopes are their thing. I guess you shouldn’t buy sushi from burger joint so to speak. I knew better than to not buy the Vortex. Hope Optics Planet and/or Sig Sauer will fix this.
