This scope makes the difference. Very well built. With the FFP reticle i was able to size range using the reticle but honestly I prefer to carry a good range finder. With every thing outstanding about this scope the clarity of the 4.5 - 29 power is superb. My eyes are not what they used to be so i need every advantage and it worked. My son and i were scoping a group of feeding deer at considerable yardage and in the evening shadows. I was able to count the antler tines to make the legal shot, (before my son who has better eyes,) whereas with a lesser scope I would not be able to do this. This magnification, clarity and light attenuation is important. In the previous year i had to pass on a shot for lack of the ability to see well enough even though that the scope was a good quality scope. I do not regret the extra money spent for this scope.
