1st let me say I have this stock for my M1A and it is an overall great value. Based on that I bought this stock for my model 10 Savage. Three issues were found. Recoil lug area of the stock is NO WHERE near the correct size (3 dimensionally off). I fitted the stock after opening the recoil lug channel…I then found the forearm appears warped downward. Finally the screws provided are garbage. The were course threaded and obviously not chased. I do not believe the thread pitch was correct either. There was NO WAY to tighten them more that 3 threads without cross threading.

Lothar Walther M1A Match Rifle Barrel
I bought this barrel for my M1A. I have several other rifles with Lothar-Walter barrels and they are excellent. However, I sent my rifle (M1A) and LW barrel to Springfield (the company Springfield) and they could not use this barrel as they do not have a gas cylinder in their inventory that can work with this barrel. My rifle had a Douglas NM barrel from the factory so I thought the dimensions were similar. They are apparently... not so similar.
So if Springfield states they are not able to use this part for a rebarreling effort....my guess is you would have to find a very niche gunsmith to safely rebarrel using this very custom part. This is the 1st LW pre fit barrel I have found that is not “turned” or made to a standardized set of dimensions.

Excellent low cost hunting scope.

I mounted this on my 30-30. I wanted a Nikon ProStaff but this scope was more available. In short the scope is clear and of good quality. Scope turrets click loud and seem tight. I have used the scope several times on the range (60 rounds down range). I believe this scope is a solid hunting scope for a gun designed to shoot under 250 meters. I have Zeiss and Khales on longer range guns and this scope is obviously no where near that quality... but...with Nikon going away...these scope seem to fill a niche for the average person. I will buy another one for my kids 10/22.
