This optics is kind of a new minimum standard for afordable thermal scopes in the 1k price range.it has alot of value and the refresh rate is really soft on the eyes.
I like that it can be programmed for high and strobe or low and high. I dont like that in the low and high setting low comes first. Solid build. I recommend that you get the micro USB rechargeable battery 2 pack made by streamlight though. So worth it. Overall this is a great light for the money.
This is a great scope thats way tuff and has a useful reticle. The scope has a nice eye relief and is really clear. X6 magnification is a nice middle ground that works for hunting squirrels and prcticing. This scope is set up for cci mini mags out of a sixteen inch barrel. Seriousely. This is the perfect scope on a nordic or cmmg dedicated 22lr upper or a 10/22 carbine. Thats gets the accuracy ypu need out of a semi to get any decent accuracy. It really has been awsome at that. Poi changes if you change ammo or barrel length so minus one star for adaptability.
Pros...i like that utg puts lots of stuff in their box. When you get it and take the time to go through everytging its alot for the money. Every thing is jobber grade materiel but its all well thought out. The intructions have a very good walk through on how to mil range. The glass is clear enough and its tuff enough for the rws48. The rings are good and have a base locking stud thats threaded for makening a well seated base. Cons. The reticle is fat and will obscure anything smaller than an inch at 25 meters so hunting pocket change past that is hard. There is this duck bill thing on the front bell that is supposed to be a sun shade. Whatever it was it cut off easy with a hacksaw and now dosnt look...dumb. All in all this is a nice scope kit and well worth the money. It has it all.
The co mini is a great starting point for a patrol optic as its ruggedized for harder use than retail night vision. You can have arm sight upgrade the unit to a generation three tube if you want. for hunting the generation two plus works out to 100 yard very well. past that anything smaller than a possum could be the neighbors cat. Get the hd model as the regular model does not magnify well in my opinion. the hd is recommended for up to six times magnification but I have had the best results with a variable optic between one and four times magnification. seems that the sweet spot is between twenty five and one hundred yards.
I really like this optic as its not crazy expensive tactical but arm sight hard and reliable at an entry level price. it has some nice features like the American defense mount, the illuminator is great, and the wireless stand by remote works well. don't believe the hype with cheap night vision and spend twice as much on a decent clip on with features that make the difference.
Everything you need for a low price. It dosnt say in the discription but this unit is made for the fn fal rifle. It still works on most stocks though espesially military ones because most of them have a wider radius comb for strength. Sporter combs have to much peak and the riser dosnt seat but instead rocks back and forth like a hinge. If you are going to put it on an fal you will need to swap the screws for shorter ones as they obstruct the recoil springs. This is not a negative because this isnt an expensive product. I would recommend a new stock if you have money to spend or if defacing your rifle is a problem.
