VISM AR Featureless Grip Mod 2
I've been trying to build a featureless NY-SAFE-Act legal AR, and finding a good replacement for a pistol grip has been hard. The VISM Mod 2 is the most comfortable and natural-feeling of the four or five I've tried - the thumb rest helps a lot. It is not as obviously NY compliant (CA, yes) as my Thorsen and BoAR grips, but evidently the Mod 2 and similar "shark fin grips" are sold at NY gun shops as compliant.
It gets 4 stars instead of 5 because it still doesn't have the control and ergonomics of an actual pistol grip, and because you'll need an ambidextrous safety with it. Neither is really the fault of the Mod 2 design, though.
