Watchtower Firearms .308 X7M Handguard
Nice design and function. However, barrel nut is not aluminum as claimed, out of the box the barrel nut handguard screws thread protruded deep underneath and required deburring. I made a mistake by tested on the proof research barrel for fitment and the threads scratched the carbon fiber before being seated flushed onto the barrel extension that required a little bit of force. Deburring all the protruded thread fixed the problem however the barrel nut required a coating or it will rust at the deburring areas, which is more work. Observing many F1 Firearms AR style rifles with Proof Research barrel installed, I would assumed that this little detail would be addressed prior to sending the products to customers.
