I bought the version without the spring and right hand button, since i don't want to throw away my mil spec spring and button. The installation is very easy. But it's way too stiff to release a loaded mag from the left. The right handed control remains the same as it should be. The left side only works okay when releasing an empty mag. Maybe the version with cmmg proprietary spring would work better since it's way shorter than a mil spec spring.

Not drop in by any means

This handguard is not drop in. A lot of hand fitting is required for it to fit. If you're not very experienced with installing AK furnitures, it's better to find a gunsmith to do it for you. I grind the rear end of the handguard a bit much, and the handguard is now wobbling when installed. It's an affordable option to mount lights and grips on your M92/85. But i won't trust it for any laser devices.
