Today I received my MDT AVRG and was very excited to put it on but was kind of disappointed on the quality of the mold. Given that this company produce some high quality aluminum precision rifles the mold itself had large gaps between the 2 half's for it does not have a smooth fitment. I bought this thinking that this will be MDT chassis quality but this instead what I got was another Made in China plastic mold which required some cutting and sanding to meet my expectations.
The 3 screw holes that I was expecting and will be filling those with some putty because MDT should have created little plugs for those huge holes but then again now I understand why they are getting rid of these for the 2nd gen versions that no longer have he massive holes on each side which is great so we will see.
After a bit of sanding and cutting, its smooth to the touch now and should work but time will tell so bottom line: if you need a vertical grip then this is for you but do not expect Magpul quality, expect UTG quality.
Note: as many have said...this is not for the AR lowers for this will not have a spot for the safety detent spring so this is only for precision rifles that are "AR style" without the safety spring hole on the handle.

Some of my ammo comes in loose cartons and I though I could get these to keep them organized so I was anxious to get it...then when I got it I quickly threw some ammo in the cases and my smile turned to a frown.

The grids are shallow so this was designed for the case to be at the bottom and not the bullet down and case on top. To me if the case is down and the bullet is up...it makes it hard to grab the ammo to reload cause bullet tip is smooth.....who designed this thing needs to get fired!!

If you do put the bullet facing the bottom then the ammo is loose moving all over like a you trying to hola hoop. So for me I went back to using the stock plastic ammo trays that came on some of my ammo’s.

IMO this is junk and waste of money.

The SBA4 is the better brace compared to the SBA3 because it’s a bit more ridge to allow you to hold the buffer better. It’s a bit wider as well so do keep that in mind if you have it on a folding stock for it is thicker compared to the SBA3 so consider what you intend to use it for and if you have a folding buffer or not.

I kind of forgot that I had this ordered and purchased the SBA3 since a local store had it on sale and then this finally showed up.....so expect it to take a few weeks to come like it came from China.

The price of these mags are great but the procurement timeframe from OP is terrible so if you want to save and don’t need it for a few weeks...yes a few weeks then proceed. If you need them in a few days to a week then look else where. I’m trying to save a buck and I paid for it, I am still paying for it just trying to save a buck.
