Bought a “used” 15 inch handguard. Description stated it was used in good condition with minor scratches. Received a unit that appeared to be out of spec, and whom somebody had mounted, stripped the threads on the screw, and sent back. Looks like originally the handguard was slightly out of spec and wouldn’t properly fit on the barrel but, and someone over torqued the nut to try and get it to fit properly. Well they failed and returned it. I would love to do the same, but given I already “fixed” said problems, it was cheaper due to being used, and I don’t feel like going through the hassle of taking it back off, I guess I’ll keep it.

Pros are its LIGHT… like I thought I received an empty box light, looks good, and given I beat on it like a gorilla to get it on the rifle, pretty sturdy. Just make sure you check that all the smaller parts that come in the box aren’t already damaged like mine, and you have a pretty light rail at a killer price

Had to file down quite a bit of material on either side of the latch for it to fit, and actually function properly in my charging handle. Not worth the price savings, just buy a nicer charging handle.

Quality on this brace is amazing. Its very light, compact and handy. The front magazine holder is firm and hold the magazine in well. The inlcuded "charging handle" ONLY works on clock factory slides. It uses oem serrations to lock in, so on my slide that has angled serrations, it wouldnt secure correctly. The one downside to this kit , whick I've seen in a previous review, is that not everything was included in the box that was advertised. I was missimg the holster, sling, and rail. Not sure if its optics planet or recover tactical whos at fault, but regardless im very impressed with the core product. Would be a 5 star review if everything was included.
