Purchased a new Ruger American Gen 2 in 30-06, great rifle but didn't like the trigger .. My gun smith informed me he had swicth out several triggers on Ruger Americans before and a friend recommended Timney Triggers .. So I did, the difference was fantastic to say the least .. Set at 2.5 pounds was a sweet addition to a great rifle .. This 2 to 4 pound adjustable drop in tirgger was a quick fix by my gun smith, swicth out a couple of parts of my original trigger to the Timney and done..

The crisp Timney trigger got my 1 in. groups at 100 yards I wanted to seal the deal.. All I do now is concentrate on my target and let it fly .. I'm a new fan of Timney Triggers and recommend them as well ...

Well this is my 6th Vortex ... Ive purchased some 4X12s and 4X16s Vortex in the passed .. Replaced some old scopes and purchased new rifles ... I have yet to have a Vortex Diamondback let me down ... On the range they center with 4 - 5 shots, depending on prior bore sighting and the ammo your gun likes ... On the hunt they do what their suppose to, cold, rain and otherwise .. I don't judge them by any technical standers, I'm just a regular guy .. I just want something to work well and service its purpose.. Vortex has done this for me for years ...

I have a AR-15 that likes this round, I usually hunt hogs with it .. I mostly do head shots and they drop where they stand ... On rare occasions I have shot some in the lung area ... I really don't have to track them to far, 40 to 50 yards ... On these occasions I don't see exit wounds, however upon cleaning out the hog the internal devastation is very event .. A hog is a tough animal and the bigger they are the tougher they become ... The XP Polymer tip really tears up the vitals, however I have not used them on deer but I'm sure it would do the job within a marginal range and a well placed shot.. I have a friend that suffered a shoulder injury years back, as a result hunts deer with a .223 ... He swears these 64gr. XP Extreme Points do the job well on deer ...

A MONTH AGO I PURCHASED 4X16 DIAMONDBACK FROM OPTIC PLANET.. WHY ? THE WAY I SEE IT, IT COME DOWN TO A WORKING HUNTERS 3-BASIC NEEDS; RELIABILITY, QUALITY & VALUE.. THE VORTEX DIAMONDBACK SERIES HAS PROVIDED ALL THREE FOR ME IN THE FIELD AND ON THE BENCH.. I WONT GO INTO THE SCOPE FUNCTIONS, ALREADY LOTS OF GOOD FEEDBACK'S ON THOSE. ILL SHARE MY HANDS ON USE WITH THESE. I REPLACED A COUPLE OF OLD SCOPES AND PURCHASED NEW RIFLES.. MY DIAMONDBACKS SIT ON MOST OF THEM BECAUSE THEY HAVE PROVEN THEMSELVES IN LIGHT RAIN, FREEZING COLD & HOT WEATHER.. CLEAR OPTICS IS A MUST, AS WELL AS ACCURACY.. READ ABOUT SHOOTING INTO THE SUN CAUSING TOTAL WHITE OUT, I HAVEN'T HAD THAT HAPPEN TO ME AS OF YET.. THE DIAMONDBACKS HAVEN'T FAILED ME, TWO MULE DEER BUCKS IN NEW MEXICO, FOUR WHITE TAILS BUCKS AND NUMEROUS HOGS IN TEXAS IS GOOD ENOUGH RELIABILITY IN THE PASSED YEARS.. INTRODUCING THEM TO MY SON, AS A FATHER YOU WANT TO SHARE A GOOD THING WITH YOUR KIDS..
THE DIAMONDBACK SERIES IS IN MY OPINION THE WORKING MANS RIFLE SCOPE.. THEIR RELIABLE, YOU GET EXCELLENT QUALITY, AND THEIR AFFORDABLE..
