I was on the fence between an ST-T2 and an Odin works buffer when I stumbled upon this gem. It was a no-brainer for me and added it to my cart. I love the options I have with the 9 weights, the ability to play around with different configurations and tune to your needs. I’ve read some only use it as a tool to find the ideal weight then proceed to install a separate buffer designated to that rifle. My original buffer came in at 3oz, running on a 16” barrel mid-length gas system. Rifle didnt have a huge kick to it but you could still feel her kick. Loaded up the KAK with two (2) tungsten and one (1) steel (T-T-S) coming in at 4.8oz, JP enterprises spring and a Strike Ind. buffer tube. MAN! It made a huge difference in recoil management and cycling of rifle. Felt recoil went from a kick to a gentle push (if that makes sense). Its hard to describe the feeling. The change in felt recoil allows you to focus faster on target acquisition and overall have better situational awareness. You can setup your rifle however you want but the KAK kit is a must have and highly recommend it.

I own several Strike products and decided to try out their quick and easy to install design. I have to say, I love the ease of installing and removing dust covers now. It took longer to remove the old cover that came with my AR. Just keep in mind that this model is made of a polymer, Im not a fan of the material difference so I will be upgrading to their billet line in the near future. Again, I just wanted to try it out but I would definitely recommend it to those looking for an affordable upgrade to their standard dust cover. For those wondering, both lines (billet & polymer) have the noise reduction when deployed.
