Only good for righties
Written on Dec 04, 2022
Claims to be ambidextrous. It's not. Wanted to mount this on the right so it wouldn't get in the way of the sling on the left. There's only one locking ball bearing which is positioned on the left side. When the mount is installed on the right hand side, the ball bearing on the mount does not match up with the ball bearing on the gun. As a result, it doesn't put enough pressure on the locking ring. What you get is a magazine tube that is loose. Makes the gun unsafe and unusable. When mounted on the left hand side, works fine as the ball bearings line up. Sad cause all GG&G would have to do is add another ball bearing on the other side. Alas, cutting corners makes this item not truly ambidextrous and useless to me. Back it goes.

Not 2.75 inches
Written on Jan 22, 2022
Haven't had the chance to take these to the range yet, but they looked shorter than my winchesters. Measured them and found they are not 2.75 inch shells. They measure slightly less than 2.5 inches. Not necessarily a disadvantage as it might allow you to squeeze an extra shell in the tube, but still doesn't match the website description.

Worth the money

Excellent holster. Easily adjustable straps. Adjustable tension screws to keep firearm secure. Holster can be used with or without light attached. Note: while not listed, holster is compatible with Streamlight TLR1. SLS system is easy. Also, picture doesn't show quick release snap on belt loop, but it is there. Works with p226 Elite Dark that has the beavertail, but SLS does require a little bit of a nudge to lock into place. Does seem to put a little wear on the frame right below the slide near the barrel, but nothing serious...yet. Only con is price. But why skimp on something important?
