Review for
Tyrant CNC MOD v2 AR Pistol Grip
Love this grip, it looks awesome on my build and fits my hand well. If you’re looking for something not everyone has, something that isn’t made of plastic, this is a great place to start. If anything changes in the future I will try and update but it appears well made, I can’t imagine any problems as there aren’t any moving parts.

Decent, could be better.

I bought this for the thermo fit, I like the idea of a super tight barrel joint. Fit and finish is fine, as you would expect for the price. It’s extra chunky in places which made for a strange fit to my Aero pattern lower. There is also a big gap at the back of where the upper and lower meet. I knew poor fit was a possibility since this kind of thing is pretty typical for large frame AR. It isn’t worth returning but what I’m most disappointed in is JP doesn’t appear to sell lowers by themselves. Why sell uppers but ONLY sell lowers as a matched set? Since I already have the upper and it fits poorly I would like to buy a lower but I don’t need matched set.

Top tier glass

minox-zp5-5-25x56-mr4-riflescope
In short: Glass 10/10, Reticle 10/10, Turrets 8/10, Warranty 5/10, value 9/10. Better price than TT, ZCO, better glass than NF, Vortex, Leupold, SB, Kahles, Steiner. The long version: The glass quality alone is in the league of Tangent Theta and ZComp (all are Schott), I think maybe coatings might set TT ahead, unless you’re shooting them side by side it’s going to be tough for me to pick one over the other. All are exceptional. Turrets on the TT are very good, ZP5 is close on glass, turrets not quite as good as the TT although still quite good. There is a visual AND tactile indicator for second rotation, despite what another review said. Reticle, like turrets is somewhat subjective but I am very happy with the MR4, it is simple and uncluttered, fast, useful and pretty intuitive. As with many FFP scopes it is quite fine and you may have to zoom in depending on the circumstances to see it well. Mag ring is easy to adjust even with covers on and far preferable to the NF system of the whole eyepiece turning. Illumination is excellent, crisp without bleeding and low enough to not wash out the target in low light. Warranty also not as good as TT or ZComp, or to be honest not as good as any other top tier glass. Where it shines is optical quality. On par with TT and ZComp, arguably better than Steiner, Kahles, Schmidt, etc. Turrets are good but a step down from TT. Warranty is not where it should be considering where other manufacturers have set the bar, from Minox: “Warranty is

Spuhr ISMS 34mm Rifle Scope Mount
Very nice mounts. Well designed and built. I like the confidence I have in it holding zero. Con would maybe just be the weight, but it isn’t enough for me to care, and the cost. I like that it’s low-profile on the sides so you can easily see your turrets from behind the rifle.

Doesn’t catch mag
Written on Jan 16, 2020
Review for
Strike Industries AMBI Magazine Release
Doesn’t catch mag so mag just keeps dropping out. I tried reaching their customer service but couldn’t get through “due to higher than normal call volume”. Will try again tomorrow. Tried differing spring tension by turning release in/out but that didn’t help it function in my LMT lower. Mags just drop out. If service is good tomorrow I will update review.
