Good Basic Choice for Target Practice
Written on Jun 19, 2024
These are a great choice for target practice with same weight as my favorite back country and in town self defense bullets. Have loaded quite a few of these and have not found any defects. They seem to be as accurate as I am. Also, because these are fully plated they are a good option for ranges that don't allow exposed lead bullets.

Should Have Bought Components

First, as with all Galco holsters this set was well made. There were two problems with this particular purchase.
First, The Optics Planet listing was not clear about what was in the set. They OP uses the same pic (showing a semi-auto with mag holders) for all versions of the Miami Classic II but I wanted a revolver holster. But this set specifically indicated it was for a S&W M69 .44 4.25", a hard to match revolver. And the sale was amazing so I took a chance. In particular, I didn't know if I was getting mag pouches for a revolver holster, speed loader pouches, or the vertical loose round pouches. (Turned out it was speed loader pouches.)
Second, I needed to replace or supplement everything except the holster itself. I needed the wide harness, to add the tie-downs, and to replace the speed loader pouches as .44 mags don't seem to fit. Now, this was in part my doing and I am happy enough with the purchase but probably should have ordered just the holster and built the set myself. The set description could have been much more complete, though.
