Since getting into the obsession of building AR's, I have used only triggers from another big drop in trigger manufacturer and have been mostly happy. There are a couple of things I disliked though and I have seen and read a lot about the CMC triggers, so decided to give them a shot on my most recent build. Man am I glad I did. This thing just works, and works well. It has a solid wall, crisp break, and a nice reset. It is at least as good as the other drop-in triggers I have used AND comes with anti-walk pins, so I don't have to spend extra on those. If you are on the fence, got off it and try this trigger, you will be happy you did.

First the good - The stock looks good and is light weight. It fits pretty tight on the mil-spec buffer tube and has only minimal movement. Overall it is a good stock, but it needs some improvement to be great. The biggest issue is that the butt is slick, add the angled lower part, and it just slides off my shoulder. If they put some better texture or, even better, a rubber pad on the end of the stock, it would be a much better and more useful stock. In the end, I removed it from the rifle and replaced it with a different stock.

I have used several Timney triggers in other builds, mostly the Impact, and have always been pretty happy. This trigger is certainly no exception. This trigger has a nice crisp break with virtually NO pre travel and a great pull weight, IMO. The reset is also short and tactile.
The only complaint I have about the Timney triggers is that they can be somewhat difficult to install. They use tiny set screws to apply pressure on the trigger pins and keep the trigger and pins from moving. Once you have tightened set screws, you insert another set screw on top of it to keep the screw from backing out. That second screw is relatively difficult to get lined up and screwed in properly. Not a deal breaker, but somewhat difficult. Overall, I think this is a great trigger and I would not hesitate to buy another.

I did a lot of research when decided what muzzle device to put on my .300BO barrel, and eventually decided to try the Atlas 7. Installation is as easy as it gets! Take the front cap off, remove the shroud, screw the comp onto the barrel and properly tighten it down, replace the shroud, and finally replace the end cap. You tune it by rotating the shroud to the desired position, so NO timing is required. I have never shot .300BO with anything else, so I have nothing to compare to for recoil and muzzle flip.
I later purchased a second one for my AR-10 and am amazed at the difference it made. It helped reduce felt recoil, and muzzle flip is virtually eliminated. I shot this side by side with a friends AR-10 and the difference was night and day. I only wish it was available in an all black or all silver version, but that is just nit picking at this point.

This is a great trigger at a decent price. I actually chose this trigger for the red shoe, but was VERY impressed by the trigger overall. If you can install a mil-spec, you can handle this. The trigger has a crisp, audible break and ZERO creep, and I love the rearward positioning of the finger in the trigger. In full transparency, I have only used mil-spec and a few drop in triggers in the past, so I cannot compare it to any of the high end trigger groups. I can honestly say it is as good, or better, than any of the drop in triggers I have used in the past.

I used these rings to mount a night vision scope to my .308 AR-10 Hog gun. The bell of the scope was sitting directly on top rail of my handguard and would not allow me to rotate the focus ring. These raised it just enough to clear and allow proper focusing. I LOVE the QD method used and highly recommend them to anyone looking for quality rings.

I recently built a .300BO AR-15 and was having a lot of gas issues. The rifle simply would not cycle fully, was short stroking, and wouldn't lock back on the last round. I made several attempts to get the gas block properly aligned, but I could never seem to get it just right. I decided to give this jig a shot and WOW, I should have done this earlier. It took me all of 10 minutes to have the barrel dimpled and firing properly. It is a pretty fool proof system as it aligns itself using the gas port. The only real way to mess up is going too deep with your dimple.
Bottom line, if your barrel is not dimpled from the manufacturer, get this jig! It is worth every penny.

I LOVE this endplate!!! I have used a lot of endplates and I can't say enough about this ratcheting system. It is great to not have to stake the castle nut and still not worry about it getting loose. I have installed this on several build now and will continue to use it for the foreseeable future. It is a bit more expensive, but well worth the $$.

I had no idea what I was missing! I have always used a standard mil-spec safety, and was always happy with how they worked. Then I picked up a lower parts kit that included this safety and I immediately fell in love with it. It is very easy to install and to change from 45 to 90 degree. The movement is smooth and easy and the safety is placed perfectly for me to switch without letting go of the grip. I now have this on all my AR builds and will continue to use them in the future.

I paired this gas block with an Aero gas tube for my .300BO build. I have used many gas blocks, some were good others were terrible. I recently tried a block from another company that was loose, left gaps around the barrel and the gas tube was also super loose in the block. This Aero Precision gas block fits snug to the shoulder and creates a tight seal on the barrel. The gas tube was tight in the block and one in place (before placing the pin) there was NO movement of the gas tube, making it MUCH easier to get the roll pin in place. I highly recommend this block for anyone wanting quality at a discount price.
