I was first carrying with a regular belt, I thought it was strong enough to carry an hk Vp9 but I was constantly lifting my pants up and constantly readjusting which is very annoying and not the smartest if you are conceal carrying a firearm, so I went on ahead and I purchased this belt and let me just say it's life changing, very sturdy I've been wearing it since I got it, great quality and definitely worth the money, I highly recommend this to anyone whether you carry a full size or compact firearm. I am currently carrying vp9 appendix rig with extra mag and I love it, the belt definitely supports the weight and the belt stays where it is and I don't to adjust ever. As for the size I wear 36 waist pants so I ordered the medium and I have plenty of belt to tighten if I want, just make sure that your pants loops are wide enough otherwise the belt won't fit. (5.11) Stryke pants I recommend the belt loops are wide enough for 1.5" or 1.75" belts

I purchase these pants in July and I've been pretty much wearing week on and week off I'm a cashier in retail so I didn't test these outdoors but they are comfy and I recommend them, they are not water proof, they are water resistant and do dry fairly quick
