“HUGE” Qd Swivel
Written on Oct 09, 2018
It works, it functions just fine and the finish is good. That’s the good news. Now let me tell you. This heavy duty Qd sling swivel is huge. It’s more material than I can ever imagine the need for unless maybe carrying a 50 cal weapon. It’s so big it looks awkward on AR 15. Also, it’s large enough were it may interfere with fit and function on some ar style folding stocks.

Sling rail attachment

Review for
Magpul RSA Rail Sling Attachment
Very good for mounting to picatinny rails. Can be installed in seconds to the desired location. I’m using it for a Magpul sling with the paraclips. The finish is very good and the opening is large enough for attaching the sling even in low light conditions.

Bolt on paraclip adapter
Written on Oct 09, 2018
As with most Magpul products, this adapter is rugged and sturdy. You can trust it to support the rifle and sling. My only issue and the reason I didn’t give it a 5 star is the installation is kind of a pain. There are two pieces that insert into sling mount adapter. These two pieces must be aligned when inserting into the sling mount adapter. It’s somewhat difficult to do this because when your tightening the external mounting screw, these two internal pieces want to rotate. The trick is to tighten the screw as much as possible yet still allow the adapter to fully seat in the hole or the sling mount adapter.

Worth the $$$

Purchased this brace for my SP5K. It fits perfectly. No custom gunsmithing or special tools are required. The stability added is well worth the investment. I searched many websites for cost and availability. Optics Planet was by far the least expensive of them all.

Key Mod Sling Attachment
Written on Sep 13, 2018
Very simple design. Bought this attachment so I could easily switch between one point or two point carry on my AR. Very easy to install on any key mod rail. An Allen wrench is also provided so no searing for a tool. The finish looks good and looks like it will hold up to normal use.

Single Point End Plate
Written on Sep 13, 2018
Easy to install. Not need to remove buffer tube. Just remove AR stock and slide in onto place and secure with the supplied Allen wrench. I purchased this so I could easily switch from two point carry to single point carry. Once installed it still allows my stock to be fully collapsed without any interference.

Gunsmithing Tool
Written on Aug 06, 2018
Bought this to prevent damage to the heads of gun screws. I was surprised at the quality of the individual bit. They really fit well in screws of all types provided you select the correct bit size. It’s also helpful that a useage chart is provided for the many specialty bits included in this set. My only negative comment is handled bit drivers. They’re nearly identical. One is about an inch longer than the other. My suggestion would be to provide a ratcheted bit driver even if it adds several dollars to the overall cost.

Pistol Sight Tool

Review for
NcSTAR Universal Pistol Rear Sight Tool
Let me start by saying this sight tool works great. I first used it to remove and install the rear sights on a Glock 43. I replaced the factory white outlined sights with a set of Ameriglo Night Sights. The whole process couldn’t have been easier.
Now on a negative note. Don’t use this sight tool when trying to remove the rear factory sight on a Springfield XD Compact 45. Believe me, you won’t even budge that factory sight. THIS IS NOT the fault of this sight tool! The folks at Springfield in their infinite wisdom, decided to freeze then press fit their sights to their receivers. After an hour of frustration, I searched the internet regarding Springfield XD rear sights and found many narratives and videos showing the same frustration in removing rear sights on Springfield XDs.

Special Tool

Review for
Truglo Glock Front Sight Installation Tool
There’s really not much to say about this tool. It’s used to remove the front sight on Glock pistols. It’s not complicated but needed because of the thin wall construction that’s required to capture the special hex screw on the underside on the Glock slide. The price won’t break the bank so get one rather than grinding down a socket to fit the screw. The rough textured grip is a plus.
