Buy the Freedom Finger and just do it right the first time

Written on Aug 17, 2026

Machining quality is meh, never really worked like it was supposed to even after a significant amount of polishing and fitting and the pinhole was undersized. I'd sooner just leave the stock disconnector before using this piece of junk. The Freedom Finger FRT is leaps and bounds better and more refinded out of the box and is well worth the extra $$$.

Great minimalist stock

Written on Aug 12, 2026

My second of this stock and while simple, it's perfectly functional and I love the one I've had on my 3gun rifle for the last 10 years so much I returned a Honey Badger stock I bought to buy another one for a 9mm SBR w/FRT. I do wish it came with a neoprene cheek rest.

You get what you pay for. It "functions".... sort of

This is my first time reloading and I figured this would be a great starter press to learn on and be able to put out decent quantities of range ammo since I shoot ~500rds/week. To start with, it seemed well constructed, though the assembly instructions aren't good at all and some of them seem to be dated with pictures from previous press revisions (to be clear, I'm an engineer, so I'm not mechanically illiterate).

Got it figured after watching a couple YouTube videos. Bought a benchtop riser for it and got it all set up, dialed in my powder measures for the autocharge setup on the 2nd stage after some trial and error with the height of the die so the at case fully engaged to get the dispenser to fully actuate. The seating/crimping die on the 3rd stage is super easy to adjust and fine tune. Now, onto the things about this press that drive me absolutely crazy....

The spent primer collection tube on the 1st stage constantly falls off and got so annoying that I just stopped putting it back on and put a small bin under the riser to catch the spent primers... whatever. The shell holder doesn’t hold the shell in place well at all when the press indexes from stage 1 to 2, leaving the casing misaligned with the primer seating ram in stage 2, requiring manual alignment of the casing in the holder 80-90% of the time which slows the process down enormously. The biggest and by far the most glaring issue with this press, in my honest opinion and what is the killer for me is the pri

Fits perfect, well constructed on the cheap

Highly recommend for mounting an ACRO footprint dot on a RMSc cut slide.

Awesome Stock from Awesome Company

Written on Apr 03, 2026

B5 makes awesome products that they stand behind. The mechanism on the stock I'd ordered was REALLY stiff, like so stiff that I was having trouble folding it and I called them and within 15 minutes they told me that I have a stock where the mechanism was recalled and they sent me a revised stock that day with a label to send them my original stock. Super easy to deal with and the revised hinge works perfectly.

Awesome Starter Belt for USPSA

Written on Mar 04, 2026

This is my first belt set up that I bought for USPSA and I've been very impressed with the quality of everything, the 4 individual mag carriers it came with fit all of my Glock 17 mags (+3 extensions on all) and all of my 20rd 2011 mags with ZERO modifications or adjustments of any kind, they both just dropped right in a were very secure and they feel very high quality with solid retention of all mags. I paired this with a Safariland QLS receiver with a leg strap and I can swap from 1 hoster to another in 10 seconds without messing with my belts. This thing is comfortable to wear with anything and stays put from what I've seen thus far. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

Another solid Streamlight option

Written on Jan 20, 2026

Streamlight are generally my go-to for any kind of light. Our inspection lights at work are all Streamlight, I have a TLR-7 HL-X on my carry pistol and I put this TLR-1 HL-X on a 4.25" 2011 I plan to run for IDPA/USPSA and it's perfectly sized (flush or peeks out just past the muzzle). This light is CRAZY bright and the beam is very focused. I love that I can pull the batteries to charge them without removing the light from the gun.
