Purchased this barrel a couple months ago. Came in a box that looked like it had been handled more than you'd expected from a "new" item. Upon receiving the barrel the thread cap was having a difficult time coming off due to minor dings on the top of the threads. There were several dings that looked like manufacture error but I cant be certain. Customer service was responsive and sent a replacement promptly. The box seemed to be in a lot better shape. The threads were still not without issue. Instead of several dings in the threads there are several spots where it seems paint was chipped off, as well as some weird machining on the very first thread. Can still feel the hesitations while taking off the cap but not nearly as bad as the first. Barrel shot well and accurately with no issues. Have not ran a suppressor on the threads yet but hoping there are no issues when I do. I have bought other Sig threaded barrels directly from Sig that were flawless on the threads so I know flawless does exist. If I had to guess these barrels are blemishes and if so should be marketed as so, even if new.
