Poor weight distribution, pull accessories irritate skin

Written on Mar 24, 2026

Strap is sleek and the adjustment ease and speed is outstanding. Unfortunately the 1" strap is so thin it cuts into your neck. The pull tab and elastic strap keeper also managed to catch on my chest and neck when demoing on my MPX-K. I tried the padded version also trying to make this work. Didn't like it ether. Too uncomfortable for my taste.

Sharp edges

Looked good in the photos, but it has some sharp edges which I don't like, cheap design

Comfortable and adjustable with a firm pull

Written on Mar 24, 2026

Tried a couple other brands, including the Edgar Sherman Design (ESD) Sling. The ESD was much faster to adjust but the strap cut into my neck. No such issues from this model, soft like the hand of a woman 20 years younger than you that maybe you shouldn't be dating.

R-15/M-16 Beavertail Rubber Grip with Finger Grooves, NO SCREW

Written on Mar 24, 2026

No screw and that screw cost $8 if you buy it separately. The fact that it doesn't come with a screw should be stated in the product title

Overpriced

Overpriced piece of aluminum. Dissatisfied with the price and feel ripped off after having bought it.

Not enough guidance on weight selection, seems finicky

Written on Mar 24, 2026

Purchased the Mk2 Recoil Mitigation System - Mod 1 - T2 for a suppressed 300 Blackout. Would not cycle subsonic 200gr ammo reliably.

Ultimately I found the longer intermediate buffer tube aggravated me. Before I tried, I thought a longer tube would be great for accuracy and cheek weld, but in practice, I didn't prefer to use the longest setting, and that meant that every time I expanded the stock, I had to carefully position the stock back instead of pulling out all the way with a standard carbine tube. Nah.

All together, purchasing this system was a waste of my time and unsatisfying. I decided to replace it with a JP enterprises Silent Captured Springs setup and it cycled right the first time. Jury's out on whether or not I wasted my money on the SCS product.

Excellent open reflex sight

Written on Mar 24, 2026

The large view through this optic is fantastic, easy and fast to acquire a target with both eyes open even in bright light. The green dot alone without the circle is amazing even at 50 yards, and since the auto-brightness function is poorly implemented on this model, you'll want to use the dot-only for use in various lighting conditions.

Note that the LED illuminator is vulnerable to fingerprint, debris, and water. If the LED lens is physically covered or obstructed, the reticle is not shown. For the range and indoors, this optical sight is a blast. For survival outdoors, I would go with a closed reflex sight such as the AEMS.

Mediocre sling

The padding doesn't reduce pressure on the neck and the elastic pull/plastic pull tab can dig into your skin. The quick adjustment is the smoothest I've tried, hence 3 stars for overpriced piece of fabric.
