Like all Midwest Industries products that I have purchased in the past, the RMR Cap is of excellent quality. However, the height of the RMR base is quite low and is somewhat useless if the scope turrets are even medium height as the mounted RMR Red Dot is over 50% blocked. If your scope has low profile capped turrets, you might be fine, but for my setup, I ended up having to purchase on of the 10mm Reptilia ROF RMR Risers so that my mounted Red Dot was visible.

MI should either add height to the cap/base, offer different height options, or additional spacers to accommodate different turret dimensions.

So measure twice and buy once is my recommendation.

The MDT ORYX chassis is well made and works perfectly with my Ruger 10/22. Excellent build quality and features. I only wish they offered both an M-LOK forend version from the factory instead of having to purchase them separately.

The OpticsPlanet OPMOD exclusive version of the Vortex High Country II tripod is very nice. The color is way better in person as it is more of a darker coyote brown compared to the bright FDE depicted in the product images. It comes with all the same features as the standard Vortex High Country II tripod as well as Vortex's excellent VIP lifetime warranty. So if you are in the market for a similar tripod and want to save a few bucks, grab one of these before they are all gone.

Living in California, I figured these would be great as you can quickly change out an empty magazine with a full one (full as in only ten rounds unfortunately for us behind enemy lines). The design is great as you can connect two different ways depending on your reload preference. However, if you use these mags to leave full in order to stage for defensive use, I had three individual magazines crack along the side edge a bit over a year of ownership and had them replaced under warranty. However, I just used the replacements today in an AR class and had multiple double feeds and failure to feeds with multiple magazines (I know as I have them individually numbered). Once I switched to my HEX mags, the issue never happened again, so my conclusion is the feed lips are a bit out of spec. So, again great idea, but poor execution. If you want to train random malfunction drills, pick up a couple. Otherwise, stick with Magpul or HEX Mag 10/30 magazines.

Just like all other Magpul products, the DT Carbine stock it top quality. Nice tight fit on the receiver extension, so very little wobble. Great to have the QD attachments on both sides as well.

I ordered one of these for an AR that had a Faxon 223 Wylde barrel, so I assumed based on the quality of the barrel. the BCG would be as good. As soon as I opened the packaging and looked it over, the gas key staking was horribly inadequate, it was like it was staked by a child. So unfortunately I had to return it.

This Faxon 223 Wylde barrel is excellent, great finish and build quality.

Not much to say as it is expected that any product from Midwest Industries is going to be high quality. And this Aimpoint T-1 QD Mount is no exception. It works great with my Holosun HS503 RedDot optic as the Holosun OEM mounts are not very durable.

I installed this CMMG ejection port cover/gas deflector on a recent AR9 build and the gas deflection functionality works well since blowback 9mm is gassy. I had a bit of difficulty installing the rod as the gas detector sat too proud to allow for the rod to be inserted. So I had to file the deflector a bit, and after some trial and error, I was able to install it. It is nice and tight with no wobble. My AR-15 lower is Mil-Spec so others may not have the same issue.

Excellent build quality and installed perfectly. These pins seem like they will never come loose based on the design.
