I used this on 4 hunts this year plus all of the scouting. 2 pronghorn antelope, a muzzleloader elk hunt, and my daughters first mule deer hunt. The glass is pretty clear and the scope is very useable at the lower settings. I would use my binoculars to locate game then switch to this to see antler/horn detail at the closer distances or use just this for locating game at longer distances. I found that it was not very useable past about 30-35x zoom. At 20-30x zoom the picture is clear and bright and was very helpful in finding game and seeing if it was worth the hike to get a closer look. Once you zoom past 35-40x the picture starts to get dark and harder to focus. I found it not very useable past those zoom levels. It was good for my first spotting scope and at a great price, but I will be upgrading this year to something that will allow me to use the full features of the scope.
