I'm beginning reload these in all calibers

Written on Aug 18, 2025

I am starting to transition a lot of my rifle reloads over to solid copper. My biggest concerns where down range performance and the fact I do not want lead in my harvest. These are doing pretty well for me and I'm not having any issues with accuracy and I still shoot plenty of bonded cup and core bullets and not losing accuracy going back and forth. I don't run 50 bullets at a time and keep my barrels clean. Between all of my hunting rifles, getting sub MOA has not really been an issue with these. I normally hunt between 50 to 300 yards and never hunt past 300. If I do, it will maybe be a bonded bullet, but at some point, when I can get to a 1000 yard range I will see how they perform on paper anyways. No plans to use them out that far because of possible expansion issues, just want to get some dope.

Excellent pricing on sale

I use this brass a lot and was amazed at the price OP had on sale. Hornady brass is up there in the top brass you can get. I don't size it when I get it new, I just run down a sizing mandrel and load. Shoulder will stretch a bit once fired, but if you keep the bump to around .002, you will get quite a few reloads from this brass. The concentricity is within .001 to .002 all the time or under. Primer pockets are always good. Not much more for me to say, great brass at a really descent price. I'm a hunter, but I demand accurate loads and once I get my test loads done, I can get most if not all my rifles under a half MOA. I believe we all have a responsibility for humane harvest.

A sure bet for good brass

Hornady brass is always a sure bet for good brass. They come with good concentricity , clear primer pockets and pretty good necks. I don't size them but do run a sizing mandrel through the neck prior to loading. That way I set my neck tension to what I want and get out any necks from being out of round from shipping. Once you set your shoulder bump after you first firing, this brass stands up to many reloading. Best part recently was my 270 brass went on sale for around $22 a bag. Good all around brass for the money. Cheers

Athlon delivers

Written on Jun 30, 2025

This is my fifth Athlon scope I've purchased over the last few years. I bought this one for a Savage 20ga bolt gun. I didn't want to over scope the shotgun and appreciated the fact that I can carry while walking in two power and if I need to zoom while sitting I also have the ability to dial up to twelve power. In new England we have some pretty dense forests, so one hundred yard shots can be difficult to obtain, hence I like the 2 power setting. I'm old and need scoped rifle/shotgun options as the eyes are going and what I like about Athlon scopes are they have crystal clear glass from edge to edge and collect as much available light as possible. And hard to beat for the money, especially when your retired and on a fixed income, you want your money's worth.

These deliver results

When your looking for a good hunting bullet, but want above average accuracy, then this is your bullet. With a high BC, bonded core and great results, makes this a leader in the reloading world.

Good hunting bullet for 270 Win

Written on Jun 15, 2025

It took me a long time to find these bullets and worth it. I'm a hunter who likes to reload my own ammo. I had a supply of the 168 grain in 308 but recently ran out. So I started looking again when I found them in 270 as well. The 130 with Staball 6.5 and H4350 are coming out warm at approx. 3000 fps. But are consistent at sub moa. They don't have a high BC, but fly well and deliver pretty good at 2 to 3 hundred yards. The coating also seems to deliver 1 to 2 hundred fps speeds over non coated bullets of the same weights.

Great accuracy, affordable

These are sometimes hard to find, but keep looking because they are worth the wait. I recently bought a 6.5 Creedmoor last year and have been reloading for well over 45 years. I found these Bondstrikes to perform very well and have no problem shooting sub MOA with Staball 6.5. and H4350. I am a hunter, but I am always looking for the most accurate rounds I can and prefer bonded bullets. If you have any questions, just go ahead and pick up a box and load them up. Next will be the 180 in .308. I just wished they made them for my 270 Winchester. Norma if your listening, make some 277 bullets for us.

Consistent size, weight, concentricity.

I began to run out of my lifetime range supply of 270 brass, from years of reloading. This was my first time buying new Norma brass, but I have a supply of used all these years. I knew all about my used brass and was always impressed with the many reloading cycles I was able to get from my used Norma in 270 and 308. But when I finally broke down and bought new I was very impressed on the consentricity and consistence between cases. No bent necks, straight as an arrow and necks were generally between a half to 1 thouseth of an inch. I'm just a hunter, shooter, but I enjoy precission.

Works great in Springfield 270

This mag works great in my Springfield Armory Waypoint 2020 in 270 Winchester. Better fit and less noise and movement than the ACIS plastic mag.

Works great

I have installed three of these on my SA waypoint rifles. The 5 inch is perfect in covering all three slots on my stock. Easy and quick install.
