Great Red Dot

Written on Dec 26, 2015

I had read a number of less than flattering early reviews on this sight but opted to buy one anyway. I'm very happy with it and found a number of the complaints unwarranted thus far. I own and have used a number of Aimpoint T-1s / M4s etc for years so I'm confident I can assess them. Much better field of view, better controls than the T-1s, less expensive and appears to be as rugged, though I haven't done anything to really test it like dropping it, etc. Didn't really like any of the mount options available by Trijicon, so I bought the basic optic and the Bobro mount directly from Bobro which was the only available option at the time.

Great Optic

Written on Jul 14, 2015

I first saw this rifle scope at the giant Army military equipment show (AUSA) at the Washington DC Convention Center about 5 years ago. I guess it was the poor lighting conditions of something but I was unimpressed, especially at this price point.
In the time between the show and my purchase I pretty much stuck with Swarvo (Z6i) and other Kahles and Premier Reticles products for conventional scopes. I started to get very interested in the Knight's SR-25 series and discovered this optic was highly preferred by Special Operators and civilian shooters alike. Did a ton of research, read a lot of reviews and decided to get my FIRST one. Well I was so impressed, this review is on the 2nd one. Absolutely stellar piece of gear. Both have the Horus reticle which I also found to be quick to learn. Turrets are solid, track well and the "pinch to unlock" approach is ideal for this type of scope. Glass is every bit as good as the other brands noted above. Even the provided lens caps are terrific.
Of course, not an inexpensive scope, but if you can afford to "just cry once' you will not be disappointed. Great piece of gear and I think that should you ever have to part with it, you'll recoup much of your investment.
