Its a shame I can't find these anymore
Written on Apr 28, 2026
I just wanted a regular upper, in FDE, with no forward assist. I shoot lefty so I need that brass deflector and the forward assist actually gets in my way. This is the best quality for value upper and something is going on with Aero where I can't find these anymore. I hope they figure themselves out, because I need to swap out my other receivers. These appear to fit perfectly with Anderson Arms lowers.

Better for super overgassed setup or 308 rigs

Review for
CMMG ZEROED .750in ID Adjustable Gas Block
I bought this for a friend's build that had a wilson combat intermediate gas barrel and wanted to refine it. Possible a combination of issues caused it where i had to make this wide open and even then, i couldn't get the bolt to lock back. I think some gas is venting in the block. Further more, when installing, it had a bur where it scratched up the gas journal section of the barrel. I think CMMG had someone else make this part for them and they skimped out on the quality control. I ended up putting this on my intermediate gas 308 and it works better on that.

the better version of the cheaper option
Written on Apr 28, 2026
Now this one is much improved. Grippy, good angle, secure storage. Where i ding this one is that strike had one with a hinged door but a steep angle. I wish they made that one with a 15 deg angle. Also, depending on your lower, the "beaver tail" might not sit flush. However in my instance it worked perfectly with my ke-9 lower.

i can confirm the lack luster reviews

If you want a cheap grip, this is it. There is a better rubberized version of this grip for a little more, and i would recommend that one instead. Not only does the plastic feel cheap, it's slick. I almost feel like the usgi a2 grip is better to have. I'm certain strike industry is going to discontinue this one and push the better one.

one of the best optics mount.
Written on Apr 28, 2026
If you want a mount that your can take off and put back on and hold zero (as long as the is on dirt deposited in between) this is the one. I used this on 5.56 and 308 and it hold solid. My go to.

Goto low profile ambi charging handle.

I normally get the radian raptor, but if you're on a budget and you want lower profile, this is the one to get.
However, DO NOT get this if you're a left and you have bolt assist.

No more plastic walther sights!
Written on May 05, 2024
I bought these because I had dropped my Walther P99 and destroyed its adjustable plastic sites. Their sights requires a steel plunger integral to the sights that was also damaged.
Now, please be aware, you will need a special site tool to press and adjust these sites, it can be purchased on Amazon for not much money; NCstar brand.
But once these are installed its as if I have a new gun. They are bright in low light conditions and super visible in the daytime, much like the original white painted dots. The only drawback is that you cannot adjust these like the stock Walther sites, which is a trade off for durability.
There was one hiccup. When the front sight was installed, it was loose and rattled around. I went to Ace Hardware and bought a stainless washer to fit inside of the slide where the site base comes through and screws in. After I thread locked and tightened it down, it was solid. This cost the product one star for fitment issues.

Read this before buying. Compatible with CMMG 9mm RDB system. If I could rate 3.5, I would.

You're probably looking at this upper receiver because you bought a lower that lacks a last round bolt open, like I did. I additionally selected this to be used with the CMMG radial delayed blowback (RDB) 9mm kit. I'm happy to report this works. No modifications necessary. I paired this with the KE-9 lower receiver; this requires removal/modification of the magazinestop/case ejector. This has the cutout for the cam pin that you would normally find on a normal AR15 bolt carrier group, which you will need for the RDB system. The only reason I went with this pairing is because I wanted ambi mag release and KE-9 is the only one that provides this for a decent price. Since it lacks the LRBHO, this upper is the only one I can find that retains the cam pin cutout.
I've used this upper with Korean, ETS, Promag, Magpul and 2nd Amend magazines. I think the 2nd Amend was the one that held the bolt open while there was still one round in the chamber. However, I did not have a magazine stop installed, so it can be actuated by upward pressure on the magazine. Other than that, no issues with the upper. I've only had failure to eject issues during rapid trigger pulls that is characteristic with using the RDB kit w/o CMMG upper or lowers.
Here are my 3 cons for this upper.
So here is...the cons, which are not too bad, but its enough to mention. I can tell that the upper receiver is of lower density material compared to the KE-9 Lower. You can hear it and feel it, which makes m
