I bought this handguard to put on a 300 Blackout Pistol. I have built a variety of AR 15 style rifles and prefer the easier handguards to install. The barrel nut that comes with the Midwest Industries handguard does not have any timing grooves, so you just tighten it to 40 ft/lbs and the hard part is done. Barrel nut, barrel nut wrench, appropriate screws and lock-tite comes with the handguard. Very easy install. Only negative is the brown color - everyone makes a different color.

I bought theses to put on my Glock 19. After watching my son put several sets on, I tried myself. A piece of cake, but does take a couple special tools. The front sight screws on, so with a little blue locktite and the proper tool, it was very easy - took less than a few minutes. The rear sight is a little more difficult, however, with a nylon dowel rod, and a couple hits with a hammer, the old sight came right off. I had to sand the bottom of the Trijicon sight with 500 grit sand paper about 30 strokes which takes off the black finish on the bottom. It went on with little hassle. Centering is a little challenging, but not a big deal. I really like the orange front sight for day time practice. It stands out and very easy to see. At night, the front and rear glow a dim white, not super bright, but plenty enough. I recommend these for day and night use. Only complaint, was the delivery, it took 14 days to get. Which is probably the carrier more than Optics Planet.
