not recommended - finger bite

Written on Nov 19, 2024

I have two of them, both installed on Aero lowers with Toolcraft bcgs and both have the same problem - finger bite! When BCG goes back it hits the rest and the trigger hits back my finger. After few shots it aint funny. I replaced the trigger to another one and problem disappeared. Wrote to BCG about the issue to never hear back. Nonexistent customer service and faulty product. Dissapointing.

good quality with one flaw

Written on Mar 28, 2022

This is my first on-concealable carrier - so take my review with grain of salt. The quality of this carrier is outstanding. Materials, stitching, velcro, buckles all look solid and heavy duty. I think it will last even in a real time combat situation. My biggest complain is the way side straps are attached to the front. The velcro from each side go under the front panel’s flap. The problem is that once you have 3 mags installed into the pockets on front panel, it is almost impossible to flap it open to attach/remove side panels. You can open maybe 30% of its normal action, which is enough to unstick side velcro, but reattaching it under this angle is pain. It is literally pain as your hand moves under hard side if velcro, and unless you are wearing gloves, be ready to have your skin irritated. The XL is also on a small size if you are wearing thick panels and trauma pads. I am 5’11” and 236 lbs, wearing StopShot Duritium Level IV+ multi curve which are slightly more than 1” thick plus about 1/2 inch trauma pads. All that eats space inside the carrier when you put it on. I am sure flat panels would be even tougher to wear. Note, XL size comes with 11x14 front and back pockets, which is great. There are not many carriers for this size. All in all, I am happy with my purchase. It is sturdy and well made and is comfortable to wear. I would buy again if I need another one. Now I am buying more accessories from Shellback. And even bought their helmet - which is great too.
