First thing I want to say is that I can’t be 100% sure this was new, but it looked good so I accepted without it being fully wrapped. From that point on everything got progressively worse. First at 25 yards I could not get it to hit the paper. I’d adjust the reticle up then down, never got two shots within 6 inches of each other. I’m not crowing here but I have three thermal trijicon scopes and they are wonderful for the hog hunting we do in Florida. So I decided I would put the Steiner CQT on a Wilson Combat 300 hammer, maybe the most accurate gun I own. Nothing I could do to get any consistency at all. I called Steiner, they had me send it back kept it for 3 1/2 weeks and sent it back. Ten times worse. Now I could net get Thermal to fire up most of the time and when it did it stayed on about three seconds and went off. Could not get the reticle anywhere near target and finally when I finally did get it working and tried to turn it off, the red dot stayed on, burning up batteries. Terrible experience but I still love the concept so I sent it back for a replacement, believing that with Steiners reputation this had to be a defective unit. I am going to give it one more try and will follow up with another review if my results are better, but for now purchase with caution

So why did I give it four stars and not five??? It was not because of the camera - the camera is terrific. It is the best game camera we have ever bought. Set it to send pictures and it sends them within seconds of being taken. Want a picture now - send a request and you get a picture now - real time. Battery life is pretty good to0, although when you have it sending every picture real time it does take a toll. We set it to record during peak times and turn it off during non peak. If we want a picture during non peak we tell it to take a single picture and send it along.
So why didn't I give it five stars??? Because it is a freakin nightmare to set up. They send it with the wrong firmware and with the wrong firmware it will NOT work. So I had to call manufacturer to get the right firmware and it would not download. With a real expert on the phone it took more than two hours to get it working - more than two hours. If I had known I would not have bought it and now that it works as it supposed to that would have been a terrible shame. All that said, if you are expert at these things or have the patience to work with the mfr to get the right firmware you won't regret it. Best game camera we have and we have a lot of them.

Wonderful. Bought a scope and recd $150 gift certificate. Great value, much appreciated. Used it almost immediately to purchase a lead sled. Hope to get more of these certificates in the future. My scope was fantastic.

Excellent product, limited field of view is the only real drawback that I could find. Wish it had an auto calibrate, but once you get it calibrated after startup it seems to work the rest of the night without any issues unless you turn it off and start it up again

have has this unit about three weeks. Works great, still on original batteries and have maybe 3-4 hours of use. I use it mainly for hog hunting over feeders and for that it is very very effective up to about 100 yards providing bright clarity and excellent field of vision. It can either be a free standing, or attached to a rail if you are moving around. I have used it both ways when hunting at night. Excellent product and if I ever lost it would purchase another one immediately.
