All I can say is... "meh."

Written on Jun 13, 2026

Good set of specs and the form factor is good. I would have given it a 3.5 if it were offered. It has a fisheye effect that I can't get past. Glass is much better on Sig,s budget Red Dot. I got this on sale so I'm not all that disappointed, plus it's not on one of my main rifles, so I'm kind of... meh about it. Get rid of the fish eye and it's a winner.

After living with this for > 1year........ Meh.

I bought this thing to "enhance" the capability of my jack-of-all-trades rifle - a 14.5" AR wearing a Leupold Mark-AR Mod1 1-4x LPVO with a piggyback red dot. My goal is to get the most functionality for the lightest weight (the Leupold is 9.6oz). I thought having the Enhancer would be a way to increase the magnification and capability, but only when needed. It could reside off the rifle until I wanted to take a more precise shot beyond 100 yards. With it mounted, the optic weighs about the same as a typical 1-8x LPVO, but it is 2-8x, not as clear, and you have to contend with the doubling effect on your reticle and dials. Also, I can echo the frustration of another reviewer when it comes to zeroing this thing. It is a painful (and expensive) process, even if you read his review and know how the Enhancer's "dials" change the POI prior to starting the process (clockwise is POI up and left, counter-clockwise is POI down and right). Plan on burning a lot of time and ammo getting this thing zeroed. Pro-tip: unscrew the set screw, make your POI adjustment with the "dial", screw in the set screw, and check your POI. Repeat that process until zeroed. You can't leave the set screw open for the whole process and then tighten it at the end - you'll be chasing a wandering POI. The enhancer might be useful in a limited number of scenarios, but I'm not overly impressed with it. When you see it on sale for <$150, it is priced about right, because you are going to spend another

Adequate for my needs

I use vertical grips as rear hand stops for a c-clamp shooting grip and this one works well for that purpose. It is devoid of any texture, so I stippled the front surface with a soldering iron. You save about $10 vs a similar Magpul or BCM grip but they have texture and look a little better. It's a toss-up.
