I'm a huge fan of Vortex. I probably own close to 30 of their scopes. I bought three of these to use on Vortex LPVO scopes. I had read reviews elsewhere that said they fall apart, but I thought I would try them out anyway simply because they were made by Vortex. I placed the cover on the scope and took it off probably 2 or three times and then noticed that the the the material sewn along the bottom edge of the neoprene was coming apart. These would be fine if they were all neoprene without the piece that's hemmed along the bottom. I had ordered three about a month or so ago and just cancelled my order for three more. Maybe they will work out OK for you--I'm not sure. I can only speak for myself.
This scope is fantastic. I purchased several of them. I have it's counterpart scopes from Vortex and Sig which are significantly more expensive and in my opinion they are not as nice as the Mantis. The glass on this scope is very, very clear. The reticle is crisp and defined--not too busy. When you illuminate the reticle the center dot and a partial outer dot light up -- looks like this (sort of): (.) except dot is in the middle. I have scopes costing 3 times this that don't have such a clearly illuminated reticle--doesn't bleed or look fuzzy at all. I'm not sure how the hash marks line up for ranging at different distances, it may be on their website, not sure. I'm using the scopes for guns that I hunt with in the woods out to only 100 yards at the most. I think it would be a great scope for quick shots at the range out to extended distances as well. I wouldn't hesitate to buy another one. Keep in mind this is just my opinion--I can't speak for anyone else.

I probably have about 8 of the same model in black so when I saw the FDE model I knew I had to have it.
For the money these are great scopes, very clear and the illumination feature(s) and reticles are excellent.
I use these for all my woods guns (100 yds or less in trees and brush. Also, for range AR's.
The reticle is great and the illumination is perfect for low light hunting and range work.
The scopes are clean and light.
Here's my only complaint. My first FDE Limited Edition came today. Unless I'm completely color blind, I would have to say that the scopes color is far closer to Olive Drab Green. It's an anodized finish if I'm not mistaken so its not a Cerakote ODG -- but it's definately not FDE, at least not in my book, and I own a lot of FDE Cerakote products. Turns out great for me because I have a couple builds I'm doing using ODG so it's perfect. One is a 350 Legend AR, so another perfect woods gun :-)
Full disclosure, this is just my opinion--yours may differ. Good Luck :-)
