I bought the bundle and was pleasantly surprised that it worked with my CAI VSKA. This isn't quite as easy and bolt on and go. Depending on your rifle you may have to remove the sling attachment point on the rifle, this is a permanent modification to a stock part so for those that like the option of returning to stock easily this is probably a negative. My particular receiver required me to file the sides of the hand guard wedges down for them to fit into the receiver. The dust cover also required customization due to the trigger group plate that protrudes from the side of my rifle. Once those clearance issues where resolved I also had to pay careful attention to the placement of the barrel spacers and carefully ensure that each side was tightened equally. The finished product feels very sturdy. I wish they provided a tool to verify the alignment of the handguard rail and the dust cover.

Like another reviewer I needed to remove material from the sides and the rear of the barrel. The original S&W barrel has a lot of play as long as one is patient, careful, and methodical fitting this barrel should be within most people's capabilities. Once proper fit and function was tested via hand cycling I was confident about taking this to the range. Range test was successful and functioned as well if not better than the stock barrel. I paired this barrel with a Faxon Firearms EXOS-514 Pistol Compensator.
