Mounted this on am PSA GF3 AK 47. Zeroed perfectly, then shot 150 rounds and it held zero fine. The only drawback is that I couldn't co-witness with my iron sights. Overall it is a very good budget friendly Reflex sight.
This grip mitigates the snappiness of the Shield it absorbs much of the recoil. The shield grip by itself can rub your skin raw if you conceal carry, this grip eliminates that. Use a heat gun to keep it soft while putting the hrip on.
I waited until it went on sale. So I finally got it. Even on sale it was pretty expensive. I tested it on the rifles I had sighted in and it was spot on. It came with a very nice case too.
For under a hundred dollars this is a very clear and enclosed red dot with 4 easy knobs for selection and adjustments. For that reason, I would only use this red dot for recreational shooting and never for hunting or self-defense purposes. It holds zero fine but because the windage and elevation knobs are not enclosed, they look and feel like the selector knobs also. I messed up my zero so many times because of this.
The only reason why I chose the burnt bronze was at the time the only one in a 10.5-inch barrel. So I bought a BCG and a PSA lower to complete it. Michael and Sasquatch had excellent reviews so no need to repeat what they said. Some of you may know this already, but I have learned from this build, that short 5.56-barreled pistols do not like steel-cased ammo. When the barrel gets hot the case gets stuck. It shoots brass-cased ammo with no problems.
I prefer the 3 prong flash hider for its aesthetics, it just makes my 10.5-inch AR pistol-tool soooo sexi aaand If you're a considerate indoor shooter you'll buy the Castle blast shield for it to direct the blast from a short barrel forward instead of sideways. One more thing, if you run out of pew pew you can use the 3 prongs like a bayonet to stab zombies in the noggin. As far as the ringing goes, I don't hear anything but a loud bang.
