Easy upgrade, works great

Tandemkross makes quality stuff and this one is no exception. The machining is great and it all fit together in about five minutes. It is now super easy to release the magazines, the action is smooth and reliable. Two things to know: this release makes it a little harder to reach the bolt lock, and with the Magpul backpacker takedown stock this will (barely) touch a .920 barrel when stowed.

Magpul Type 1 Sling Mount Kit
As I built up an entirely too expensive 10/22 it was clear I'd need a sling. I love the X-22 Backpacker stock and it made sense to use the Magpul hardware to mount one of their slings. These mounts fit perfectly and the included screws help make sure they'll never come out. $28 for two tiny mounts feels a bit steep, but they're made in the USA and do the job.

Magpul Industries MS1 QDM Sling
This is a great sling, no doubt about it. You can immediately sense the quality of construction and materials, and it is great to have an easy length adjustment with no loose ends. The hardware locks solid- there is no way the quick disconnects will come off unexpectedly. Yes, it is spendy, but for a quality product that is made in the USA I have no complaints at all. You can't go wrong with this one.
