This is the 5th Leupold Mark 5HD I've purchased, and they are excellent optics. I have a 7 x 35, 5 x 25 and (2) 3.6 x 18 as well as this new 2 x 10, all with the TMR reticle. They are exceptionally clear with positive elevation and windage adjustments, and you can order custom elevation dials from Leupold set up for your specific load and shooting conditions.

Can't get any better than that. Now for the mount. If you're looking for a high quality ultra versatile mount, then this is it. Mounted a Leupold Mark 5HD 7-35 x 56 on a Remington 700 Tactical Chassis Rifle in 308. Just the right height (1.5") to allow room for slip on lens covers if you use them. The 700 TCR has a full rail, and the section on the action has 20 MOA built in. Leaves about .1" between bell and rail. These mounts are not cheap, but you do get what you pay for.
