I just received this light and tested it out. I purchased the M313V instead of the M603V because I needed a shorter light. I knew that I would have less runtime due to the light being powered by only one CR123A battery, but this is not an issue. First off, the fit and finish of this light is exceptional. The mount that comes with it allow the light to be positioned closer to the forearm of your rifle without getting in the way of other accessories. It is reversible so it can be mounted on either side by removing the screws that secure the mount and then rotating it.

The 250 lumens of white light is plenty bright enough for close to medium range and is on par with other Surefire models of similar lumens. The beam is nice and has very little spill. I was highly impressed by the IR light as well; testing with NODs, I could easily illuminate and see targets at 100 yards on a dark night with medium cloud cover.

Switching between IR and white light is achieved with a simple twist of the head. The SR07-D-IT remote switch that comes with the unit is well made, comfortable, and is easy to operate. I paired it with a Holosun S117IR IR pointer and it fit and functioned perfectly. Overall, this light is high quality and will fill the need for both white and IR light, and the price is just right.
