I took a Trijicon ACOG off my Tavor X95, and replaced it with the Meprolight M21, and I believe this works a little better on several levels. First, it gives the rifle a more correct/ original profile (go IDF !!!). Next, with the 1x power M21, I can co-witness the Tavor’s flip up iron sights (which also contain Tritium), with the ACOG 4x power prism optic, I had to use 45 degree offset BUIS. The quick detachment feature is nice, and the optic remains solid under fire.
It’s hard to believe that it’s 2023 and nearly all illuminated optics still REQUIRE a battery to operate, so this M21 with “no battery needed” technology is a huge plus! I did buy the battery powered LED add on accessory, but I haven’t needed to use it……maybe if it’s a dark / overcast day, and the target was in a well lit / bright area, then maybe.
I love the OPMOD HC reticle, it’s great for distance shots as well as CQB….. and it was much cheaper too! I did spring for the polarizer / klllflash….but now, the included scope coat doesn’t fit anymore.
I highly recommend this quality, combat proven military optic.

The grip shape /profile is good, although kinda small for adult hands, but that’s hard to tell from a picture. However, the real problem was trying to install it with the provided screws…… I tried for an hour to install the grip, the whole time thinking “what am I doing wrong”. I realized the screws were too short to grab on and lock into the M-lok rail. And then I looked at the product reviews, and low and behold, I wasn’t the only one that experienced the short screw problem!!! I purchased another brand grip from another website, and it installed perfectly in seconds. I will just eat the $16 for this bad grip, because returning is a pain. Just FYI.
