Good things: holds zero, durable construction, great reticle, easy to range, easy to zero, good glass, no batteries.
Not so good things: reticle can disappear in certain conditions.
The best example I can give is shooting this on a range at 4pm in the afternoon facing away from the sun under a lean to. In these conditions, the reticle all but disappears against a solid black silhouette target at 100 yards. I even bought the aftermarket REM21 illuminator that is powered by a CR2032 battery. This fires LED light directly into the light collector and has 11 settings of brightness. There were just instances in low light that the reticle just disappeared and made the sight basically useless.
I shot an RRA two stage trigger for many years in my service rifle in NRA Highpower. These are such a nice alternative to a $200-300 trigger upgrade and are a real sleeper in the market.
While I do see the merits of M-LOK, I don't put a ton of accessories on rifles. I also prefer a quad rail on a scoped rifle with a bipod because I tend to get better stability and less flex out of it. I swapped this for a Midwest M-LOK rail on a DMR clone. I have a small complaint that I wish the barrel nuts had been the same for an easier switch but no big deal. The bipod does feel sturdier using a Badger mount directly to the rail instead of bipod/rail/m-lok and was causing some flexing. I put some old school Knight rail covers on this and it's a great looker too. I wish Midwest would make an LR308 quad rail as well for a semi-M110 look.
I took a chance on this when it was on sale and put it on a 7.62x39 upper. I've shot the heck out of it this winter and this thing has held a good zero and been good for accuracy. I like the included scope covers, and the qd mount seems to be doing fine. Very easy to use both eyes open and it's been fun using this combo while running some carbine drills.
I usually love anything BCM. I'm a big fan of the Magpul K2 grip and wanted to try this. Tight fit on the lower, but that's no big deal. I had to grind off the front finger guard to get this to work with the Magpul trigger guard I had. All the features are fine, compartment stays closed as it should. I just couldn't get a good grip like the K2+. Maybe some skateboard tape or texture would help but I personally didn't care for it.
I am a fan of these end plates. Use a good quality QD swivel and they won't pop out. BCM tends to make good stuff and this is no different. Fit is good with buffer tubes and they take staking very well.
Very minimalist covers. They feel good bare hands or with gloves, they take paint well, you can cut them to size and not expensive. I have used several packs of these on rifles of various calibers. No complaints.
