Edit of recent review

Comp-Tac promptly contacted me in response to an email I sent them to express my disappointment in the QC aspects of their DCH holster. They offered a couple suggestions to overcome the difficulty I encountered in removing the female screw bases of the IWB clip and adjusting the cant of the paddle. They also offered to send me a video they made to help, and to send me any new hardware I might require. They acknowledged the insufficiently sized screw base adjustment holes created by their manufacturing process (hole punch), and offered a couple suggestions to remedy it.

The promptness of their response, and the help offered in suggestions, video and extra hardware, is enough for me to make this review to revise my previous review (since it's not clear how to Edit it), and change my earlier 2 star rating with a 3 star rating. I'd also qualify my recommendation from No to Yes, although a buyer might ought to be prepared to have to email/contact the manufacturer for advice on overcoming any difficult in making adjustments to the holster feature, and be prepared to have to ream out the screw base post holes.

Not user friendly for adjustment

It's hard to believe this DCH holster was made by the same company from whom I ordered paddle holsters several years ago. My older Comp-Tac paddles and mag carriers were very well made.

First, when I went to remove the IWB clip, the screw bases turned freely, preventing the screws from turning. The rounded notching on the back of the screw bases DO NOT bite into the plastic and stop the bases from turning. (The thread locker used by the company works to make it difficult for the screws to come loose.) Since I don't have a miniature spanner tool to fit inside the holster body to use on the bases, I ended up having to use needle nose pliers to hold the screw bases stationary and unscrew the screws.

Second, when I went to adjust the cant of the holster, the front screw base I needed to remove (to reposition in the hole above it) also wouldn't remain stationary, and the needle nose pliers were again needed. After I'd removed the screw base and screw, that was when I found out the hole in the holster I needed to use was significantly too small to accept the screw base post. I ought not need to use tools to cut and ream out an adjustment hole just to change the cant of the holster and paddle.

I would not buy this holster again, nor recommend it to anyone I know needing an off-duty or CCW holster. It's just not the same quality as the Comp-Tac paddles I bought some years ago. Since it did fit the gun, and I don't have any other holsters to fit the particular gun at this time, I'l
