Viridian tac light

Written on Mar 02, 2017

I put this on a compact beretta px4 storm. I modified my kydex holster to accomodate the light. It functions well just not at the level i like. I was trying to go a cheaper route than the xc1 by surefire but i find myself waiting for the refund now to apply it towards the purchase of that pistol light. Its controls are good and it worked well. Every once in a while it wouldnt turn on when button was pressed. Unsure of why that happened??? All in all its a good light if u just can bear to pay $250 for a pistol light.

Nice plate carrier

Written on Mar 01, 2015

I really like this plate carrier. It has tons of adjustability to adapt to a lot of different load outs. I have heard about some people reviews on utube saying that it has multiple layers and is hot and won't breathe. Uuuummm the more layers you have gives you more protection and why are you wearing this? Also once you put steel plates in any carrier they don't breathe.......because steel doesn't BREATHE!!!

The real only thing I can say against this unit is it's fairly hard to get into and out of, and the shoulder straps have a limited spot of the adjustment without pulling in some of the hook and loop material into the buckle....which is a pain to get in. But we are talking about something your not going to put on for 5-10 minutes take it off for a while then donning it back on. This is something you will be putting on for a considerate amount of time. That being said to gain the amount of molle and adjustability I say it's worth the money and hassle of getting in and out of it, and the issue with the Velcro and buckle.

Double vision

Written on Mar 01, 2015

This unit did work as described and was actually very clear.the only problem I ran into was always seeing double through them. Since they are a fixed set of bino's that don't bend in the middle to adjust for a wider or more narrow head then it pretty much has to be the correct width to fit you or you will see double.

As far as the items nightvision capability it was a rather nice unit. Both eyes are adjustable for different vision in either eye, the ir for this unit did not work as well as I thought it might but that could be rectified with a better more powerful ir flashlight. I live out in the woods and had very limited ambient light. Through the woods there is an elevated path about 50 yards away off my back deck. Which I was able to see fairly well, the ir light did make It a lot easier to see, and without the NV's you couldn't see the path at all.

So all in all I would recommend this unit but only if it fits u. Only problem is since they don't give you the measurements from center to center of the lenses the only way to find out if it will work for you is to drop the cash and see.
