I have both the 10 and 20 round magazines.
10 round unit has an anti-tilt follower and feeds great. The 20 round units do not and so they do not feed properly. I swapped the followers between the 2 units and the feeding issue followed the shorter follower. I contacted CMMG customer service... they were quick to respond but offered no solution to fix the issue. They wouldn't even sell me the 10 round followers separately. I had to purchase some followers marketed for 223/5.56 to fix my issue.
So, if you're having feeding issues with their 20 round mag, buy some of the anti-tilt units offered by another manufacturer (hint, they offer them in Yellow or Green). Unfortunately, they only hold 16 rounds now, but they work.
If they offerrd a 30 round magazine, you'd probably need to fix them too.
You'll end up with a 26 round mag but it will work .
I purchased these to fix an issue I was having with some CMMG 20 round magazines. If your magazine has flat coil springs, the spring well area will need to be trimmed a little on the ends where it contacts the inside of the coil. I did sacrifice capacity (now they only hold 16 rounds) due to these being longer than the original shorter follower. That being said, now my rifle feeds ammo properly using these magazines. CMMG was quick to respond to my inquiries but offered no help to rectify the issue. I wish I could upload photos. I had one of their 10 round magazines that fed the rifle properly. I opened them up side by side and the 10 round unit has a longer anti-tilt follower that has been trimmed a little but maintains it's function. I swapped the followers and the feeding problem followed the shorter unit... other than losing capacity it worked in the 20 round magazine. I asked CMMG if they would send me a couple of the longer followers they use in the 10 round magazines but they declined. I asked where I could purchase them, again they declined to sell them to me. Sad that I had to use a competitors product to get theirs to work. Thanks Magpul for giving me the UNFAIR ADVANTAGE of parts that function.
3 rounds through my pistol and it went adios. Pretty bummed. First time out with this weapon and it failed after 3 rounds. They give you a couple of extra c-clips if your lucky enough to see that it went bye bye. I was not and so my pistol now has a roll pin installed in the bolt catch. Se la vie.
