Segmented MRAD-RED

Written on Oct 23, 2021

This lpvo is great! I'll start with the chief complaint, day light brightness. Sure, it could be brighter, but it is plenty bright for daylight use. Unless you're blind, don't disregard this optic off the brightness aspect. I will say this, the green reticles (from what I've seen) are not bright enough. However, if you're just looking for a green reticle because it's that much more tacticool, whatever do you. But consider what lights and colors are easier to detect in daylight vs nighttime without completely distorting your eye and light capacity. The segmented circle is really nice, it creates a solid quick acquisition reticle in 1x, and at 6x it's not cluttering or getting in the way. The cross hairs are really good at centering your eye. The eye relief seemed really good, however, I'm moving to a high mount to save myself the neck tension and the little bit of eye relief from being able to be slightly more verticle. With a standard mount, set all the way forward, I really have to cant my head down to get sight picture. But the unity mount should fix that, if you're very tall, I'd consider spending the extra money unless you plan on doing alot of prone shooting. It was very easy to zero, adjustment knobs move easily and smoothly, the caps feel well constructed. I'm not concerned with the optic breaking from fair use. The short throw lever that comes with it is going to take a little getting used to but I like it. It won't get caught on anything or break off.

Perfect for its price range

Written on Feb 17, 2020

First take into consideration that there are optics of much higher quality, that cost significantly more. For its price range, I think it is perfect and does everything you could ask of it and be a good balance of durability and reliability. It holds its zero very well so far for me. The adjustable brightness covers a broad spectrum of illumination. The shell isn't thick or bulky, it doesn't cut out your field of view, I've had no problems transitioning targets or locating targets. I have mine set to a 50 yard zero and ive learned this optic pretty well for only a few range trips between mechanical offset and reaching out to 2-300 yard targets standing and firing rapidly. I would suggest this red dot 10/10 for anybody that doesn't want to spend 400 or more on an optic.
