I purchased this together with the Trybe ambi safety selector. You can't go wrong for the price. It works just fine whether you're pulling from either side of the handle. It's operation is relatively smooth, but it could be a little smoother. I figure with more and more use it will continue to smooth itself out.

Works great with Tipton Best Gun Vice

I already had a Tipton Best Gun Vice that I use with my hunting rifles. I had just recently purchased an AR, and happened to come across this vice block on Optic Planet's website. Works perfectly with the vice. There are some limitations, however, as the vice block and vice itself are plastic, so it might not be ideal for some jobs where a solid vice block and heavy-duty bench vice are more suitable. The block and vice are probably best suited for cleaning and minor work on the gun, but I will say that was able to remove and reinstall the castle nut and receiver end plate using the vice block, and it held up just fine even with the torque needed to break the castle nut loose. I find it to be a great purchase for the price and integration with the Tipton vice.

Troy Ambidextrous Bolt Release
Quick and easy to install - attaches right over the top of the existing bolt release, so there's no need to remove the bolt release from the receiver. Makes a great setup along side the ambi mag release and safety selector. I was concerned that it would take up too much room inside of the trigger guard, however, after using it for some time, you really forget it runs through the front of the guard. It doesn't seem to interfere your finger/trigger whatsoever.

Troy Ambidextrous Magazine Release
I'm relatively new to the AR platform. I'm left-handed, so naturally I wanted to install an ambi safety selector, mag release, bolt release and charging handle. I find that I actually use my right hand and thumb to release the magazine on the right side of the gun more so than I use my left, but it's nice to have the option on either side. Super simple install, takes a matter of a few minutes and has functioned flawlessly.
