Quality product, but........

Ill say first, this scope is top notch quality and construction. Optics are clear and beautiful. I selected it because it does provide a longer eye relief. I have no problem with Trijicon. But the first thing I noticed was the weight of this thing! Ive never really given the weight of a scope much thought, but this thing is substantially HEAVY! Weight on the specs is 25.6oz. Its adding over 1.5 LBS to the top of your rifle! I put in on an HK MR556 which is already a heavy rifle, so I doubt I'll keep it on it. Its way too heavy to use for a tactical application. Probably better suited for hunting. I wouldve returned it just because of the weight, but I got tired of shopping around and making returns.

Pretty much everything Magpul is nice. Just be careful when ordering. This is almost identical to Magpuls SL-K, but this one is smaller. Just be aware of what size you want when ordering. My only complaint with some of these stocks is there seems to be more wiggle on the buffer tube after installing than I care for. Sometimes I'll even line the buffer tube with some thin tape to help take the wobble out. I wish they fit a little tighter.

I think EOTech makes quality stuff, but I personally think they're far from perfect. First the base that comes with this scope is way too high for me. Almost looks ridiculous sitting up so high. Had to order an additional lower base. (but that's preference. Not EOTechs fault) And second...this scope seems to have a really short eye relief. I put it on my AR and the ocular had to come back past the charging handle. And although functional..the crosshair is a little too busy for me. But I like the illumination option, and the glass is very clear. And obviously....the other downside is you cant cowitness with iron sights. Its the obvious trade off if you want magnification.

This is the first time I ever tried using a forearm grip. I prefer keeping my rifles simple with very little frills. But this is a nice addition. Low profile and functional. I prefer a lot of grip on my rifles, and what I might do to this is add a little rough stippling along the front corners of this grip. When pulling the rifle back into your shoulder, it feels like your finger(s) tend to slip off the front edges. But its still nice.

Always great quality from Leupold. Works great, but I had a couple small issues. I dont like that the control button is right in front of the viewing window. Any time you select a brightness or turn it on or off, your finger is right in front of the window, requiring you to move your finger away each time you press the button. It makes battery changes a breeze from the top. The other minor thing is the windage and elevation screws. Clicks seems a little "light". You dont seem to get that nice positive click. But these all minor peeves for my personal preference. And the scope works great nonetheless.
