Great combo. Very solid.

This is a great combo at a fair price. Optics Planet is my go-to source for all my shooting needs! One small complaint: My rear bag didn't come with the clip as pictured. I was planning on clipping it to my range bag as the bag's not big enough for all my gear plus the rear bag. No clip and no provisions for even attaching one of my own. Under that flap that the clip is supposed come out of, I have a piece of black plastic mesh that keeps the stuffing inside but I guess would allow you to cut it open and refill/add more.
The rest itself is a solid hunk of metal. The only plastic piece is the big star knob, and it's solid as a rock. The adjustable, very pointy feet are great for those ranges "with character" that we all shoot at. I.E. their lousy tables that should've been rebuilt a decade ago really require a rest w/adjustable feet. I shoot everything from .223 to 7.62 to 308 to .22LR off this rest and it doesn't budge. Very happy with it.

Looks better than the slotted screws

Beretta Allen/Hex Grip Screws Kit
These look better than the slotted screws that come stock on most Beretta pistols. However, the metal is a little soft and you can strip the hex head if you use the wrong size allen key or torque them down too hard. Be careful in tightening them down and all will be well.

92A1 should've come with this from the factory

Beretta 92A1 Metal Guide Rod Assembly
Why a $600 pistol like the 92A1 comes with a plastic guide rod is beyond me (it also comes with a plastic trigger which is next on the list to replace). The metal guide rod/spring assembly is a drop-in replacement for the flimsy plastic stocker. I never fired with the plastic rod on the brand-new gun; I swapped this in and went to the range. Perfect right off the bat. A must-buy for a duty-size pistol like the 92A1.

Beautiful but a little slippery

Review for
Beretta Wood Pistol Grip
These walnut grips are beautiful to look at. On a deep-black 92A1, they are simply striking. The checkering on the lower portion of the grips works well, but the upper portion of the grips, where your thumb rests, is smooth, making the grips a little slippery. The 92A1 has grooves on the front/rear grips straps, so that helps, but the lack of checkering on the entire grip makes your grasp on the weapon less than ideal.
The fit and finish on these grips is 100% perfect. They fit perfect, no gaps. I did not need to use the star washers under the screws as the screws don't protrude into the magwell without the washers.
4/5 stars, only b/c of the lack of checkering on the entire grip.
