most useful DIY bore sightings tool I’ve used

Review for
Wheeler Professional Laser Bore Sighter
The Wheeler professional laser bore sighter is the easiest and most useful bore sighter that I’ve ever used. It easily attaches to the end of the rifle barrel, then I center the tool by eyeballing the OD of barrel to the OD of the tool. I bore sight against a white barn @ 70-100 yards distant with the green laser in lower light conditions that really makes the green dot stand out. I then simply immobilize the rifle and match the crosshairs to the green dot. I’ve had amazing luck with this system so far and I’m would imagine the red dot would work as well in low light conditions with the included reflective target

Review for
Peterson Cartridge 6.5mm PRC Rifle Brass
Received my order of 350 pieces of 6.5 PRC brass in an orderly fashion with all pieces in good shape. I’ve had great luck with Peterson brass and Optics Planet packs it so it arrives fast and in good condition.

Vortex razor spotting scope new and improved
Written on Feb 03, 2026
Just received my new Vortex Razor HD 27-60X85 spotting scope to replace my 33 year old Viper spotting scope. I’ve been impressed with the quick focusing, clear glass, and clearer images in lower light settings.

Trijicon Tenmile 4-24X50mm
Written on Jan 19, 2024
Shipping was prompt and arrived undamaged, which could be a first for UPS or Fed X. In my opinion Trijicon is one of the best values in scopes, having clearer glass than many scopes that cost way more. I’m currently building another AR15 in .22arc and when the time comes I’ll be looking at Trijicon again.
