It would be a great red dot if it were brighter. Low light shooting, it’s ok, but not for bright days.

I’ll never purchase these again. So many failures to fire even when loaded and reloaded in another firearm. Don’t waste your time and money. Federal auto match is way better.

I own 5 Holosun red dots and a 3X magnifier and have been very pleased with all at a great price. I bought the HS403B in FDE for my Ruger takedown in the FDE Magpul Backpacker stock equipped with the TacSol fluted barrel in Quicksand color. The FDE on the Holosun matches the Quicksand on the TacSol barrel and is darker than the Magpul FDE. Just in case others are trying to get a good idea of the tint of Holosun Cerakote FDE.

Great ammo

The ammo is unifored, boxed properly and no light primer strikes at all. That was the quickest shipping I’ve ever had for ammo. I got it the next day.! I’m in Utah.

Planned on putting it on a Ruger Mark iv 22/45 but you cam only see the hi setting and the dot is too large at hi seeting and the low setting is unseen in daylight conditions. must be for indoor ranges which I don't frequent.
My go to optic brand other than primary arms

Optics planet is my preferred optics shopping experience and Holosun has never done me wrong. The red dot is easy to zero and hold zero perfectly. The shake feature on Holosun optics is excellent.. my fire arms that host Holosun optics are, Smith and Wesson FPC 9 mm pistol, caliber, carbine, river, 1022 takedown with Magpul X 22 backpacker stock and my 5.56 Caltech RB Bullpup sported the solar powered red dot but I have recently changed that out to a 1x prism ACSS reticle primary arms, and I still have my three time magnifier behind that from Holosun.
