Update on 40 rounds and broke
Written on Jul 22, 2025
As the company guarantees them for life. They held true to their promise, promptly with no questions asked.
The scope that they replaced the broken one with is a 2.0 version with mil-spec interior.
I put the new one on a Micro Galil in 556. They did tell me that they are in the process of developing a scope for 308. I will wait until it comes out to mount on my Tavor 7.
All in all, I like the product well enough that I’ve purchased another one. If they both do well, I’ll likely purchase another couple to keep on my most used rifles so that I’m using the same reticle all the time.

40 rounds and broke

I got a Saturn Cosmic prism in FDE. I really like the way that it looked, I put this prism on a new Tavor 7 (308).
I shot 40 rounds, liking the scope, and was getting it zeroed in.
Then all of a sudden, I couldn’t even hit the target. I moved in within 5’ of the target aiming at the center and still couldn’t hit. I also noticed that the the fiber optic reticle was not laminated. After 6-8 rounds, I looked the scope over closely and could see that the glass inside was fractured.
Granted this is a 308, but I’ve shot several AR-10s that had more recoil than this Tavor.
I’m contacting Saturn this morning. I noticed as I looked on their site, that they now have a 2.0 that is supposed to be better.
I may change my review depending on the outcome. I rated it 1 star because this site made me give it a rating. Otherwise, my rating would be a zero.

Great Prisim Scope!!!!

I bought this for a FAL 308 pistol with an 8.25” barrel. It will receive a good bit of abuse! I like the way that it can be mounted very low on my FAL picatiny Presently, I’ve only put about 60 rounds through the gun after mounting it.
Initial impressions are that it seems to be a great scope that really aids someone like me who’s 67 and at times struggling with my eyesight.
I love the reticle and the target acquisition seems good.
This is my second one that I’ve purchased. I’m sure that if I spent four times the money that I could find something better, but you aren’t going to beat this for the price.
I can’t wait to take it to a range with 200 or 300 yards to see how it will do.
I personally don’t see a need for an additional red dot. I believe with practice, that you can get good shots up close. Depending on the distance, with both eyes open using the scope or for real close adjusting your view sighting down a side or top.

Great Prism!

For me the major pros are:
1. The reticle for estimating distance and all round shooting.
2. I like that it has an etched reticle that you can use without illumination.
3. Being able to switch from red to green
4. The diopter is great for older eyes.
5. Being able to lower it. Mine is on an FAL pistol which has AK height mounting.
All in all a great scope!!!
