I went on about how the Wilson Combat said their "Bullet Proof Adjustable Lo-Profile Gas Block, 0.875 ITEM # TR-AGB875-R" would fit with any MILSPEC hand guard. I spoke to them over the phone when I ran into this issue. They said with authority it would fit... So I returned the two hand guards I purchased here and replaced them with a Wilson Combat one. Still didn't fit to my standards. Free float means no contact. They didn't seem surprised that they didn't fit when I called them back.

If you are putting together a normal gas block these hand guards will fit fine.

So, two weeks ago I gave this item two stars due to inconsistent machining. I feel compelled to add to the initial review based upon how Sharp's Bros responded. In addition to posting here I did contact Sharps Bros through their website, that is how they acquired my contact information. Sharps Bros did get notice from Google or something that a sub-par review was given, they were able to tie the two together and reach out to me. I received an email from John Sharp asking for my address so they could send me a new upper, when I received it I would send back the one I was not happy with. This happened and the new upper fit their lower gen II Hellbreaker lower like a OJ's alleged glove. My opinion is customer service wins over any kind of issue. These guys back up their product! I'm pretty impressed, which is unusual.

I'll throw this out there while I'm at it. I put together two of these AR's, a Gen I Warthog and the new Gen II Hellbreaker. I really like the improvements they made between the gen I (spikes) and their gen II. In addition to the visual improvements I really like how they got rid of any drive pins. They have replaced the bolt catch drive pin with a 1/16 allen screw and the rear take down pin spring and plunger are held in with a allen screw as well. Pretty slick stuff.

My next build will in include a Sharps Bros Upper and Lower for sure!

I bought two (2) of the 13.7 inch for putting over a Wilson Combat 20" Wylde with a 0.875 Adj Gas Block. Wilson Combat Gas Block TR-AGB875-R. THe handguard initially fit over the gas block but as it came into contact with the barrel nut the handguard hung up on the gas block. Almost as if the handguard tapered down in ID. Very strange. Optics Planet made it quite easy to return. NOTE: the gas block I am using is a bit larger in diameter than "regular" barrel diameters. I spoke with Wilson Combat and they said if it was Mill Spec it should have fit.

Like their triggers this guy is well built. I like the ambi-trigger to have the same size on each side. Nice big and thick levers make it a clean click. Trigger comes with both spring and little pin.

I purchased two (2) of these uppers at the same time. One upper fit my Sharps Bros Warthog Gen 1 Lower like a glove. The other would not allow the rear take down pin to go through, I'm going to have to do some grinding to get the pin through. I'd give 2.5 stars since they are 50/50. I would not recommend these upper considering the manufacturing differences. For the price I'd get a VLTOR instead. Purchased during COVID.
